I’m a MD-based, expat New Yorker, Pittsburgh educated, native Chicagoan, fallen away singer/actor/director. Follow my blog and be among the first to know. As a writer, I live by this quote from Donna Tartt. “The first duty of the novelist is to entertain. It is a moral duty. People who read your books are sick, sad, traveling, in the hospital waiting room while someone is dying. Books are written by the alone for the alone.” If you’re thinking that’s just an excuse for producing content devoid of any redeeming social importance, I would counter with, “Nailed it.”
