Well, you know what morning sickness is. That’s “mourning sickness.” I got it for years. It’s not a reaction to possible rejection as it is to overwhelming hope mixed with a strange kind of grieving because you’ve let another one leave the nest. Like when the boys left home – my boy included. But what you create alone is far more difficult to part with. Either way, it’s a piece of you. I just wrote a paragraph without making a joke.
